1. Can I use the HTML editor to edit Cascading Style Scripts?

HTML editing is the only intent, however, a CSS editor extension is in development at CaScadeS.

2. How can I prevent the HTML editor from linking images to my hard drive (relative paths)?

Double click on the image, to display the image properties, then check mark the option "URL is relative to page location".

3. How do I delete a Publishing Site?

Open the HTML editor [Window -> Composer].
Go to Edit -> Publishing Site Settings.
Select the site, and click on "Remove Site".

4. When I click on "Browse", why do I sometimes get a 'Publish' prompt, instead of a 'Save' prompt?

You get "Publish", "Don't publish" and "Cancel," if you have gone to a remote page and used File -> Edit page. Because the file is not on your computer (not officially), there's no location for the browser to open.

5. Is there a stand-alone version available, without the browser?

No; only the browser can be installed as a stand-alone application. Mailnews, and Composer, need the browser installed. You may, however, be interested in either of two new standalone HTML Editors in development, Mozilla (standalone) Composer and NVU, which use the Mozilla codebase.
