How do I perform a search by entering text in the location bar?

If you don't enter text in the location bar that isn't a web address, Mozilla will try to add www. and .com to text you entered. Some people may prefer entering text to trigger a search instead.

Enter about:config in the location bar.
Search for the preference keyword.enabled.
Modify the value to true.

By default, enabling this preference will make Mozilla do a Google search. To change the search URL, use about:config to change the value of the preference keyword.URL.
